Jim Carroll

Jim – with his wife Stacy, have attended New Hope Church since 2003, serving in many different volunteer roles over the years including Youth, Kids, oneighty, Alpha, Marriage, Groups, and as an Elder. They live in Stewardson (born and raised) with three children - Grace, Mila and River.

Jim has worked in physical therapy for nearly 30 years before joining New Hope’s staff and being ordained as a pastor. Jim is excited to step into the role of Effingham Campus Pastor. He has a heart for people and wants everyone to know Jesus and have a personal relationship with Him!

He’s a Chicago sports fan, likes to travel, loves nature, hiking, running (more like a jog or fast walk). He might not be fast but he’ll outlast you by sheer will and determination… He admits he is a little too competitive at times. He also likes to eat – with a refined pallet for smoked meats, salsa/hot sauce and coffee. He once won a hot pepper eating contest. Jim says he is a constant work in progress, always striving for improvement and doing his best to walk in God’s will.
