Position Summary
Do you have a passion for helping kids grow in their faith and connecting with families to make Jesus known? New Hope Church is looking for a 4th + 5th Coordinator to lead and shape our ministry for 4th and 5th graders at our Effingham Campus. This hands-on leadership role is all about building relationships with kids, parents, and volunteers, while creating programs and experiences that help children take the next steps in their faith journey.

This is more than a job — it’s a ministry calling, and we’re looking for someone who wants to help kids know Jesus, grow in community, and discover how they can serve His Kingdom.

About the Role –

  • Part-Time – up to 15 hours/week

  • Part of New Hope Kids Ministry Team, partnering closely with Kids Ministry staff across all campuses

  • Hands-on ministry — teaching, leading events, equipping volunteers and parents

  • Reports to the Kids Ministry Director

  • Compensation range: $18.70 - $19.80

What You'll Be Doing –

  • Lead, develop, and oversee 4th + 5th ministry programming at the Effingham campus

  • Work with the Kids Ministry team to pray, seek God’s direction, and cast vision for this key ministry

  • Build relationships with kids, parents, and volunteers — always pointing them to Jesus

  • Recruit, train, and encourage volunteers — help them thrive in their roles

  • Equip parents as the spiritual leaders of their children through milestones, resources, and personal connection

  • Plan and lead special events like 4th + 5th small groups, Christmas parties, and more

  • Manage classroom setup, curriculum prep, and volunteer scheduling for Sundays

  • Maintain a safe, fun, welcoming, and organized environment in all 4th + 5th ministry spaces

  • Support New Hope Kids ministry-wide events and campus-specific activities

  • Track attendance, review budgets, stay organized and responsive to communication

  • Be an active part of New Hope Church life — attending services, staff meetings, and retreats.

The Ideal Candidate –

  • Is passionate about children’s ministry and helping kids follow Jesus

  • Is a strong leader with relational and organizational skills

  • Is a team player with a heart to serve and support the overall mission of New Hope Church

  • Has obtained a degree in education, ministry, family studies, or a related field.

  • Has experience in working with children, families, or in church ministry (or a combination of education and experience)
