Position Summary
Do you have a passion for guiding students and adults in their walk with Christ? We’re looking for a full-time Jr High & Discipleship Team Leader to invest in the next generation and lead discipleship efforts at our Shelbyville Campus.

This dual-role position is split between overseeing our Jr. High ministry and leading key discipleship pathways. You’ll connect with students, equip volunteers, partner with families, and shape environments where both youth and adults can grow in faith and community.

About the Role –

• Full-Time

• Compensation Range: $40,664 - $43,056 per year

• Evenings & Weekends required to support church events and activities

• Reports to: Campus Pastor

What You'll Be Doing –

Junior High Ministry

• Lead weekly gatherings and student events

• Build relationships with students and parents

• Recruit and disciple a team of youth volunteers

• Plan retreats, leadership opportunities, and outreach

• Partner with the Youth Team on shared goals and vision

Discipleship Leadership

• Oversee the implementation of Next Steps at the Shelbyville Campus (Alpha, Partner, Planter)

• Provide pastoral care (counseling, visitations, weddings/funerals)

• Collaborate with discipleship leaders across campuses

• Help foster spiritual maturity and outreach on campus

The Ideal Candidate –

• Has 1–3 years of ministry experience (degree preferred)

• Communicates clearly and confidently in large and small settings

• Understands youth culture and loves mentoring young people

• Has strong organizational skills and a heart for discipleship

• Is a growing Christ-follower aligned with New Hope’s mission and values
